We had the opportunity to attend the Henry Surtees Foundations fundraiser last week hosted by Buckmore Park Karting Circuit, and it was great. Accsys Accountants entered a team, and even though we didn’t win, we came 8th out of 25 which was pretty good going (Even if we do say so ourselves).
It was a good feeling that we had help raise money for a such good a worthy cause and a great way to let off some steam after a week at work.
The Henry Surtees Foundation was founded by motor sport legend John Surtees CBE, following the tragic death of his son Henry, killed aged just 18 years old whilst competing in Formula 2 race at Brands Hatch in 2009.
Their primary objective is to assist people with brain or physical injuries caused by accident to return to community living by the provision of support for equipment and facilities. They do this by partnering with individuals and other charitable organisations.
If you want to get involved in this great cause, you can donate through the following link.
A big thank to the Team at Buckmore Park for a great evening and event for the Henry Surtees Foundation. We hope the HSF event is annual event at Buckmore because we want to improve on our 8th position. If you haven’t been to Buckmore recently you need to check it out, their facilities are now second to none and the perfect venue for corporate events. https://www.buckmore.co.uk/ https://www.henrysurteesfoundation.com/
