Maidstone business owner transforms his finances with the help of Accsys Accountants
Rob Smith, of RTS Creative Ltd, based in Maidstone, Kent has recently transformed his accounting records with the help of Accsys Accountants.
A family owned and run business with over 30 years’ experience in its industry, RTS started as a simple sign writing business, but has significantly expanded in recent years, now employing a team of experts, from highly skilled installers to first-class graphic designers. From their vastly equipped, custom fitted design studio, they offer a comprehensive and professional range of services to clients across many sectors from sign writing, vehicle wrapping, glass etching, custom decals, logo and brand design, and much more.
But although their work has moved with the times and kept up with the ever-changing technology to offer their customers the latest options, the same could not be said for their financial record keeping!
Rob’s previous bookkeeping system was reliant on his outsourced bookkeeper, who attended the office once a quarter to do their VAT. They were using Sage and Rob was keeping all of his invoices and receipts in a cupboard.
This system had been working for them, and Sage was doing its job, however as a growing business, Rob felt he was missing vital information. And he was right, Sage was not giving him the reporting that he needed to manage his business properly. Not only that, he was also keen to start get organised with his paperwork.
Rob had heard of Xero.com and approached us to look at his business and show him how he could benefit from the product. After giving him an insight into its advantages, RTS Creative has now moved from Sage to Xero.
Full training was given to Rob, who is now able to utilise Hubdoc.com, which automates and speeds up the whole bookkeeping process and means no more paper. He can keep his bookkeeping up to date daily and get good, detailed profit and loss reports.
