One of the curses of being an accountant is that everyone knows what you do as soon as you mention it…. well, at least they think they do… something to do with adding and subcontracting and taxes. Plus, it’s a serious conversation killer because 95% of the population have no interest in what we do!

On the face of it we do accounts, business tax, payroll and tax returns. Whilst these are all important and essential for businesses, I prefer to think more about the effect of what we do on business owners and society as a whole, rather than just the fact we make the numbers add up.

We are more than what we do, we are what we help our clients to do.  We help, facilitate, and assist hundreds of small business owners to do what they do. For example, amongst other things, we help our clients to design beautiful websites, to build high quality canopies, to keep people’s cars on the road, to keep people safe by providing health and safety training and to provide conservation for protected animal species.

We help make sure that our clients get their finances in order, so that they can focus on what’s really important- delivering their product or service to their customers.

Let’s not forget about the personal side of things. After all, our clients are more than just business owners; they’re people with hopes, dreams, and aspirations outside of work. That’s why we take the time to understand their personal goals and priorities.
