As I look back over 2021 and consider what a tough year it’s been, I start to wonder what 2022 will bring.
I spent some time looking through our blog library to see what we thought was worthy of writing about in 2021. In January 2021, we laid down the gauntlet with our ‘Top 5 tips for getting your business motoring in 2021’ and then throughout the year we answered some key questions posed to us by our clients:
- How to incentivise key staff
- Should I register for VAT?
- How to identify if your business is sellable
- Why is your business making loss?
- Are you getting in the way of your business?
- How to identify if limited resources are holding your business back
As I re-read these blogs I begin to think about our theme and across it all, our overall aim was to help you, our clients, navigate the rocky world of business, save tax and above all, grow your business.
It’s not getting any easier and if our blogs or factsheets have helped in any way, however small, then its mission accomplished.
So, what’s in store for 2022?
The answer is, who knows? We don’t; invariably things will get harder, doing business will get tougher and only the lean and fit businesses will survive. Pretty much the same as 2021 then. In the best-case scenario interest rates will stay low, inflation will be under control, importing and exporting will get easier and covid will not ruin our lives.
Whatever the outlook there is one promise we will make to you, and that is that we will be here for all our clients to support you with whatever 2022 will bring.
So, in this, my last blog of the year, I want to wish you a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
